If you’re unsure which test to get, I always say that AncestryDNA is the best bet for your money. Once you get your results from them, you can transfer your DNA data to FTDNA for free. You can also transfer your results to DNA.land, Geni, Wikitree, MyHeritage, and Gedmatch for FREE. So right now you can pay $49 for the Ancestry test, then free to upload instead of paying for each place (of the ones that offer testing) individually. You cannot upload your data (from anywhere) to 23andMe, so if you also wanted to test with them it would be an additional cost.
